Okay so, you sent out your perfect résumé and you received that phone call that might make it or break it for you. You’ve practiced how to answer every question the HR person is going to shoot at you and you already have your perfect #OOTD – but have you got your makeup game under control?
I’ve listed down a few looks that will most certainly help you ace that job interview you’ve always wanted.
The your-lashes-need-to-be-as-fierce-as-you look
Applying false lashes could be quite tricky, however, my method is very easy and possibly life-changing. All you have to do is apply mascara to your natural lashes. Remember to never apply lashes while the glue is still wet. Wait from 40-60 seconds after the glue has turned from a very light grey color to a much darker one, and voila, they will stick right on.
I apply eyeliner after I’m done with my lashes which, believe it or not, changes the whole experience and makes everything a lot easier and cleaner.
The I-only-have-10-minutes-to-get-ready-and-look-fab look
If you are a busy person such as myself and you won’t necessarily have that much time to get makeup ready for the interview, worry not because I’ve got your back. I usually spend less than 10 minutes getting ready in the morning, and here’s how. I simply put on a CC/DD cream, light blush, eyeliner, mascara and a light lip cream for a pop of color. Make sure to always avoid using a heavy foundation that is bright at this time of day.
The fresh-to-death look
For a fresh looking face, free of oily looking skin here’s what to do!
This look is one of my favorites because it makes you look very fresh and absolutely free of oily-looking skin. All you have to do is wash and dry your face well (like, very well) and prime your face. I personally use the MAC Prep and Prime Spray or Benefit’s Pore-fessional. After applying your foundation, be sure to set it with a pressed powder for flawless, fresh-looking skin!
The contouring-game-is-lit look
Contouring isn’t as difficult as everyone makes it out to be. Using a contouring palette, stick or light and dark foundations (depending on your preference), you can achieve an amazing sculpted looking face in a few very simple steps. Firstly, you highlight your key areas in light and conceal what you want to minimize in dark. Secondly, let the product set into your face for a minute. Thirdly, use a damp beauty blender and gently dab in place. Lastly, add bronzer, blush and highlighter to cheek bones, forehead and chin.
