Sculptor Ahmed Abdel Fattah made a life-size statue of the late Nobel laureate which will be placed in the New Administrative Capital in honor of the iconic wordsmith. “It took me one month to sculpt the statue,” Abdel Fattah told Egypt Today.
Last year, Mahfouz’s daughter struck a deal with Al Saqi Books to produce a brand new collection of 50 short stories, 18 of which were never published before.
