Rediscover the Dead in the Heart of Cairo at This One of a Kind Exhibition

Some go out with their co-workers to nice restaurants on weekends, others rediscover dead — we’re here to talk about the latter. A one of a kind exhibition entitled “Rediscovering the Dead” is set to be inaugurated at the heart of Cairo; Tahrir Square’s Egyptian Museum.

The exhibition will showcase 15 skulls of different age groups that have been unearthed at different sites in Egypt, dating back to prehistoric times. Almost 6,000 years ago to be specific.

Elham Salah, General Director of the Museums Sector, stated: “The expo will include a skeleton dating back to more than 21,000 years, uncovered at Al-Kobania Valley in Aswan, which is the second oldest structure to be found.”

She added that the exhibition will deal with four different topics: age and sex assessments to clarify gender and age differences, in addition to how to obtain such information through skulls.

Needless to say, if you or your co-workers are feeling a bit adventurous this weekend, you know where to go.
