One, don’t pick up the phone, you know she’s probably not coming but let’s create a Facebook page and give it our best shot anyway.
Dua Lipa, aka #SquadGoals pioneer (thanks to her “New Rules” video), is loved by many — which makes it as no surprise that Egyptians created a Facebook page in an attempt to try and get her to perform in the capital.
“Hopefully we can get more than 50,000 people interested in this event so we can reach out to Dua Lipa and have her perform in Egypt,” says the bio of the Facebook page that now has around 27,000 people interested.
“Lipa has a super wide fan-base in Egypt that I highly doubt that she’s even aware of,” Ahmed Tarek, creator of the page, tells us. “We know it’s not impossible because Jason Derulo was just here recently.”
Tarek continues by saying that he knows that “she has no intention of throwing a concert here any time soon” but that the page was made to prove to her that there are a lot of people who are willing to come see her live on stage.
“It’s a dream for many, who unfortunately cannot travel abroad to see her perform,” Tarek adds. “Her coming to the country would also be great for tourism.”
Do you think hoping the “IDGAF” singer comes to Egypt is a bit of a stretch, or is it totally a possibility?
