Writer Mahmoud Abdo Wins Best Story Award at Cairo International Book Fair

Mahmoud Abdo, author of  a collection of 12 short stories called ‘Secret Organization’ has expressed his deep happiness for winning the Best Collection of Short Story Award at the CIBF.

According to Egypt Today, his collection of short stories portray how human personalities are shaped according to the experiences they go through.

Abdo extracts inspiration from the late writer Naguib Mahfouz’s style, mixing it with his own writing style which includes comedy and satire. Some of his stories tackle major political, economic and social issues that took place in the 1990s and still affect our lives till this day.
