The European Union Grants Egypt €18 Million for Six Projects

According to Egypt Today, the Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr announced that the European Union (EU) has granted Egypt 18 million Euros to develop six projects as part of their EU Cross Border Cooperation program (CBC).

The development projects are said to be carried out by Egypt’s Chamber of Commerce, the Arab Academy, the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, the Japanese University and partners from Jordan, Lebanon, Tunisia, Italy, Greece, Spain, France and Cyprus.

Nasr’s statement came at the Joint Monitoring Committee Meetings of the CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Program, that was hosted by Egypt for the first time. The Minister further stated that the projects help in the development of regional cooperation in the fields of textile industries, tourism, small and medium enterprises, environment as well as new and renewable energy.
