Last Friday, Californian group, Red Hot Chili Peppers, entertained more than 10,000 people in front of the great Pyramids of Giza and even more viewers over a live-stream link.
The rock band opened with their songs ‘Can’t Stop’ followed by ‘Californication’, ‘Dark Necessities’ and other hits.
The concert, held under tight security, was meant to promote Egypt’s tourism, which is trying to put the country back on the map as a prime destination after the Arab Spring in 2011 and after years of subsequent turmoil.
