There’s no question that it takes time and effort to find your passion, purpose, and career path. However, it doesn’t have to be through a university degree. Sometimes we graduate from a certain major to then figure out we are not passionate about what we studied. When I was trying to figure out where my passion in life lies, these books definitely gave me insight.
Man’s search for meaning- Viktor E. Frankl
This book is not only on how to find your life’s purpose but also a book on how to overcome adversity, hardship, and feel free no matter the circumstances of your life. Read this book when you feel lost, stuck or in pain.
The Last Lecture- Randy Pausch
This book helps you answer a vital life changing question which is ‘What would you do with your life if you knew when your end is?’ This book will show you why wasting time on the past is the reason you’re stuck. It widens your horizons and definitely helps you change perspective.
The Alchemist- Paulo Coelho
Of all the books in the world, this is the book I recommend most. Basically, It’s about a boy who has a dream and he chases after it to unlock all the mysteries of the world. Well, I can’t give away spoilers but you should certainly read it.
The life you were born to live- Dan Milman
It is not a conventional book on how to find your passion in life. Based on numerology wisdom, it helps you find your purpose by discovering many critical points of your personality. If you have a destiny, your destiny has more than one version. This book can help shine a light on your destiny’s best version based on your: Creativity, self-acceptance, self-discipline, integrity and influence.
The gifts of imperfection- Brené Brown
This book taught me a vital lesson that changed my life. It’s basically how to let go of the person you’re supposed to be and start embracing the person you really are. It also taught me that I wasn’t alone, that all parents have the best intentions but they also have a very hard time accepting their children’s choices.
