Writing Tips from a Writer

A lot of people have consistently asked me why I love writing so much and my answer is pretty simple. Writing is my passion. Writing is a form of art. My fingers are the brush that paint a wonderful imagery for observers and readers. Writing isn’t just putting words together and making it sound believable. It’s a form of expression and I do not take that lightly. So to all you aspiring writers out there, I bring you my best writing tips ever.

Read as much and as often as you can. Remember, every writer is a reader first.

Keep a journal or notebook handy at all times so you can jot down all of your brilliant ideas. If you’ve got a smartphone, then fill your notes, with things you’ve seen, heard and thought.

Never give up. I’ve had people tear up my writings, figuratively and literally and when I thought I should just pursue another career, I stopped and realized something. I was put on this earth to write and there’s nothing else I’d rather do. Writing gives me hope. Writing saves me from myself. Writing is my way of spreading inspiration to others who need it. I know I have a gift in writing and I won’t let others convince me otherwise.
