The Startup Working to Empower Egypt’s Up-and-coming Artists and Creatives Just Won EGP 100K and a Silicon Valley Tour from Injaz Egypt

You might be an artist or a creative individual who is eager and passionate enough to express yourself with something original you believe people need to see. But then what? How will people see it? Let’s assume you were successful in putting it out there into the world. How are you going to make money from it? How could you sustain a living off of your work as you create more?

Well, More Of, the startup striving to empower Egypt’s artists and creatives with the entrepreneurial mindset they believe is crucial to sustainably do more of what they’re passionate about, just crossed a new milestone!

Sarah and Hania Seif, the founders of More Of, just won Injaz Egypt’s startup competition. “I applied for the competition 12 hours before the deadline. I just jotted down all the ideas we have to empower artists and creative individuals,” said Sarah Seif.

Their prize was EGP 100K that they will dedicate to growing More Of, as well as a tour at Silicon Valley. “Our trip to Silicon Valley will help us get the mentorship we need from companies like Amazon, Google, Airbnb and Apple. This will certainly make things easier.”

In the midst of all the competition in the startup world, scoring such a win is not easy. “The strategy we employed that scored us the win was honing in on the problem and being flexible with all the ideas of how to solve it. We basically fell in love with the problem More Of is tackling and then remained agile in solving it,” she elaborated.
