Have you been feeling sluggish lately? Overwhelmed at work? Easily annoyed? Well, It’s about time to plan your El Gouna trip and relax. I’ve created this list to ease that process and take care of everything for you!
Thanks to the new Al-Galalah Road, it’s now a very smooth and safe drive. You should always hit the road really early because the sunrise between the mountains is a spectacular scenery that is made for your Instagram feed. It also helps if you arrive early to Gouna, so you can make the best of your first day! Pick your favorite people and rent a house, preferably by the lagoon using Airbnb or booking.com. It’s a much better experience than hotels and a lot cheaper. You have to put in mind however that Gouna is a luxurious place, therefore it’s quite expensive. The following list will help you carefully plan your budget and make the best out of your trip.
Breakfast
Expensive (200-300): Malu’s Deli, Maritim
Moderate (100-150): Seventh Star
Cheap (50-100): Zomba
Beaches
Expensive (200-300): Moods, The Smokery
Moderate (100-200): Clubhouse
Cheap (50-100): Red Sea Zone
Dinner
Expensive (400-600): Pier 88, Chez Chantal, Maritim, La Scala, Saigon
Moderate (200-300): Breeze, Le Garage, Zia Amelia, Seventh Star
Cheap (100-200): Tamr Hena, Zomba, Snack Shack
Nightlife
Expensive (400-700): Aurora, Bartender, Duport
Moderate (250-500): Rush, Peanuts, Crooners
Cheap (100-250): Smugglers, Irish Pub
According to your budget, pick places from the above list and have a spectacular weekend. There are many activities to do in Gouna: you can kite surf, dive, snorkel, go on a dolphin spotting cruise, stand up paddling, golf and various parasailing and fun water activities; all you have to do is ask your hotel staff or Airbnb host. Coming back to work after Gouna will definitely be a bummer, and you’ll probably get lost in your email inbox at first as you daydream of the beach, but this will be a weekend you will always remember so I highly recommend for it to be a long one! You’re welcome.
