Egypt is a fertile environment for e-commerce. According to an online entry by SocGen (a multinational French investment bank and financial services company) on the Egyptian e-commerce market, Egypt’s potential is not fully realized yet.
On the 17th of September, Egypt’s first-ever E-Commerce Summit will take place with the ambitious goal of bridging the gaps within the sector and strengthening its full cycle. “E-commerce isn’t just about selling stuff online, it’s anything that has an online transaction,” told us Sarah Seif, an E-Commerce project manager. “The summit will help everyone working around the e-commerce cycle and it’s not just for people who work on an e-commerce platform,” she elaborated.
The event is designed to provide an educational platform where all the hot topics of e-commerce are discussed. It’s also a networking platform where top players in the industry engage with all the working professionals working around it, within it and all the people aspiring to excel at it.
The event will host notable figures from both the governmental and the private sector. From the top managers of major players like OLX, Shell Lubricants, Mumm and Fawry to the Vice Minister for Fiscal Policies at the Egyptian Ministry of Finance, the E-Commerce Summit plans to connect all the missing dots in the industry and provide attendees from a variety of backgrounds with the space to grow their knowledge and understanding of everything related to the promising market.
