AIESEC Egypt hosted Activate ’19, a three-day-event earlier in October, which aimed to connect the whole entity to talk about what’s next for the world’s largest youth-run organization in Egypt, and to enhance it’s members personal and general knowledge.
Members also got the chance to meet people, other entities and organizations, to help them develop themselves such as, EG Bank and PepsiCo.
The organization that operates in 127 countries also got the chance to celebrate their efforts for the past 6 months in Egypt, while discussing future plans. AIESEC called for more student exchange programs, to help youth experience life abroad, which will impact their personalities and instigate leadership qualities inside each person who travels abroad.
AIESEC provides it’s members with the practical experience they need, in order to reach their full potential in a non judgemental zone, which allows it’s members to be whomever they want to be and people will accept them. Not only will they be free individuals, but it also helps them personally develop.
“We aim to allow our members to get out of their comfort zone and learn new skills that no course would be able to provide them with. The experience definitely helps undergraduates when they graduate, because this is a practical experience about how their professional lives will be, as we deal with real life experiences. We are somehow responsible for people’s lives,” AIESEC Egypt Partnership Development Directors Team, Gena Yasser said.
Yasser added, AIESEC is responsible for students who travel with the organization. They are responsible to get those people their visas, accommodation, and a chance to work and volunteer in another country. Also, AIESEC focuses on their members’ safety, ensuring students learn to plan analytically and think strategically.
Through AIESEC’s three programs: the global volunteer, global entrepreneur, and global talent that operate in 127 countries, students are exposed to a pandora of learning experiences. They lead teams and ensure those teams are having a great experience and are developing themselves as well.
“I joined AIESEC to develop myself and learn more about what my goal in life is and to know how to reach it, as well as to meet new people, and it turned out to be a life changing experience,” Yasser explained.
