AJ+ announced recently that the production of ‘El-Da7ee7’, the hit show founded and presented by the talented Ahmed Elghandour, has come to an end. The announcement explained that their production plans cannot sustain another season of the show due to the difficult conditions media outlets are facing.
We still don’t know when the show is coming back from this halt (if ever), but we’ve decided to celebrate the work of the show’s founder and presenter, Ahmed Elghandour by spotlighting 7 times he turned our heads on subjects that can help us rethink our work and business endeavors or understand issues within them better. So, get comfortable…

1. Boshkash and Elections – The Dunning-Kruger Effect
Is it you or are incompetent people more often than not confidently bragging about their high level of skill and possibly holding positions of power over you? Are they lying to themselves or what exactly is going on there? Also, could you be overestimating your professional prowess? A potential answer could be found in this El Da7ee7 episode where the quirky presenter boils down to us the implications of one of the world’s most compelling findings — the Dunning-Kruger Effect.
2. That Proves my Point – Ideological Speciation
Regardless of what our job entails, we all aspire to be open-minded professionals whose beliefs, views and methods don’t are subject to change or development. But there’s substantial evidence that can be easier said than done. Could your mind trick you into irrationally dismissing what you don’t agree with? You can know more about that in this episode where El Da7ee7 tackles confirmation bias and ideological speciation.
3. Less Is More
In this episode, Elghandour takes on the familiar concept of ‘less is more’ and fleshes out its far-reaching influence on a variety of professions and businesses.
4. TikTok
Tik Tok was suddenly everywhere around us. El Da7ee7 made sure to cover it like no other. From its emergence, to it ranking above Facebook in terms of app downloads, and onto many more surprising facts about Tik Tok’s AI-powered charm; Elghandour walks us through one of the most powerful social media tools out there.
5. We’ll Make It up in the Final
Borrowing a usually empty promise we all came across as students, this El Da7ee7 episode is all about procrastination. Not only will it grant you a deeper understanding of the deeply annoying phenomenon, but it also helps you avoid it.
6. Startup
The concept of the startup is still a maturing one in Egypt. That’s why El Da7ee7 has decided to dedicate an episode to walk any and everyone through what a startup is. He illustrates, step-by-step, how it grows while using the classic example of an app to demonstrate what might or might not happen to it on its journey to success or failure.
7. Smart Business
Netflix wasn’t always this big and Kodak wasn’t always this small. El Da7ee7’s Smart Business is all about the gigantic gains and losses that innovation can bring about.
We hope El Da7ee7 can return and fill an important gap in the digital content we’re offered by what he calls “intellectual promiscuity”.
