The Central Bank of Egypt decided to issue The First Plastic Currency

The Central Bank of Egypt decided to issue the plastic ten-pound denomination (polymer),

emphasizing that previous issues of the same denomination will not be cancelled and will continue to be used and circulated.

The introduction of the new currency falls within the framework of implementing a clean monetary policy

and raising the quality rates of banknotes in circulation in the Egyptian market,

as well as lowering the cost of printing banknotes,

particularly the most traded categories, in line with the state’s Vision “Egypt 2030”.

So what do you think of the new currency,

and would you like all of our currencies to look the same?
