Ghorfa 207, the newest Shahid VIP production, proved with its first two episodes that Arab production is now capable of competing with international productions. This comes whether in horror genre specifically, or the concept of mass production generally.

First, The story revolves around Gamal El Sawaf, the new receptionst who discovers a mystery around one the closed rooms at the hotel. Then a bunch of disappearance, secrets, and terryfing stuff sparked Gamal’s curiousity to discover the truth about room 207.

After watching the first two episodes, we picked out five major things we admired, where its filmmakers proved their mastery.
1- A Promising Adaptation of Ahmed Khaled Tawfik’s Novel
The name of Dr. Ahmed Khaled Tawfik gave high expectations on the story once announced its adaptaion from the famous novel ” Ser El Ghorfa 207″. Its note to mention that the last adaptation for Dr. Ahmed was the masterpiece of ” Ma Waraa El Tabeaa” that boomed on Netfix.
2- Stunning Performances From the Entire Cast
No doubts, Mohamed Farrag’s perfomance never disappointed the audience. He continues to rock the screens with his unique style of embodying the character and creating its own dimensions. In addition, there is a general agreement on how both Reham Abdelghafour and Youssef Othman controlled the characters and added their own spices. We look forward to what all the characters hide in the upcoming episodes!
3- On Point Dialogue And Shots
The music was composed by musician Ashraf El-Zeftawi, through which he added dimensions to characters and events without using the concept of loud sounds that do not fit the situation or intoduces an indispensable effect of the scene.
4- Brilliant Choice of Relevant Soundtracks
People might think about scene elements and designs as a secondary preparations for the a project. In fact, it is one of the most important elements which reflects whether an essential visual part of the show took its right from preparations. The audience praised the good choice of clothes for the characters, in addition to the careful selection of decorations. Its important to highlight the changing paintings on 207’s wall, painted by the talented Omar Sami. Stars are not only those who appear physically on screens!
5- Captivating Interior Design
One of the strengths points of the show are the captivating interior designs that director Tamer Ashry highlighted, which gave a sense of depth in balance with the dialogue that the scriptwriter, Tamer Ibrahim, was able to communicate to the audience in an appropriate language to the time period in which the events of the series revolve. This came without prolonging the events or making comprehensive changes in the original novel’s details.
