The Minister of Communications signed an agreement Cooperation between Telecom Egypt and NaiTel, one of the telecommunications service providers in Jordan, to establish the “Coral Bridge” submarine cable, which is the first submarine cable to link communications between Jordan and Egypt for about 25 years.
The Coral Bridge submarine cable will connect the Jordanian city of Aqaba to the Egyptian city of Taba, and a strong infrastructure will be established between the two countries.
The cable will also contain a large number of optical fibers, which will allow the collection and transmission of international traffic in the region.
