Telecom Egypt Collaborates on Undersea Cable Project Linking Egypt, Middle East, and Southeast Asia

Telecom Egypt signed an MoU with E& (Emirates) and Telin (Indonesia) to establish a consortium to develop the ICE IV Project. This new Data center to DC system will connect Intra Asia to India and the Middle East.

Spanning 11,000km, it will use the latest open cable technologies and subsea ROADMs to connect Indonesia and Singapore to India, Oman, Egypt, and the UAE.

The ICE IV Project will adopt an entirely new route through the Sunda Strait and become the first international cable to land in Kochi, India in decades.
