Job title: Senior FM Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all mechanical aspects and trades including HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, firefighting, plumbing, and vertical transportation for all SODIC projects.
  • Manage the handover process for new assets from the construction team and develop mobilization plans for smooth openings.
  • Review and modify mechanical drawings and as-builts, identify design issues, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems to locate and correct the root cause of breakdowns efficiently.

  • Manage the supply chain process daily, provide weekly updates to the FM department, and summarize month-end FM reports.
  • Manage the budget for assigned assets/projects, escalate and resolve unbudgeted issues as they occur.
  • Handle CAFM systems, generate reports, review daily operations, and manage cost approvals and tasks.
  • Negotiate and recommend procurement of capital equipment as needed. Ensure new assets are entered into the pre-planned maintenance program and subject to QA procedures.
  • Manage outsourced contractors, their selection, training/development, and succession planning.
  • Develop and maintain energy management initiatives for all assets, drive improvements in water and electricity savings, and ensure automated systems are performing as programmed.
  • Oversee all aspects of building maintenance to ensure facilities are kept in exceptional operational condition, meeting health and safety requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum 7 year of experience in Facilities Management, preferably retail or commercial buildings.
  • Contractor management and measuring KPIs and monitoring SLAs across multiple Contracts experience is preferable.
  • Knowledge in BMS system for all operating assets is preferable.
  • Familiar with HSE requirements.
  • Familiar with reading O&M manuals, drawings, as built drawings, design understanding and handover procedures.
  • Familiar with (CAFM and ACAD) and capable of Generating & presenting maintenance reports.
