Responsibilities:
- Conduct OS/NMS installations, upgrades, migrations, and network transformations to ensure seamless operations.
- Engage in comprehensive lab testing, field trials, dry runs, proof of concepts, preliminary acceptance tests, and customer demos/workshops, demonstrating our solutions’ efficacy.
- Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline project delivery
- Craft meticulous test cases tailored to customer-specific scenarios, and develop Method of Procedures (MOPs) and test procedures to maintain the highest standards of quality.
- Spearhead the expansion of Nokia’s automation capabilities, leveraging scripting and tool development to streamline manual tasks and enhance efficiency.
- Undertake extensive lab work, both on-site and remotely, to drive innovation and product excellence.
- Collaborate closely with the NI Customer Engineering team, contributing to the Technical Management Practices team to establish industry-leading technical project management best practices and share valuable insights for complex IP/Optics/FN projects and transformations.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for Techno and NPI leaders, as well as PMCC Primes, fostering strong relationships and facilitating smooth project execution.
Qualifications:
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field is required. Alternatively, equivalent practical experience in Telecommunications engineering is acceptable.
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python and JavaScript is essential.
- Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of Scripting, Problem Solving Algorithms, Agile development processes, and DevOps practices is necessary.
- Software Development: Technical knowledge and experience in software development (At least Back-End development).
- Networking and Cloud: Extensive knowledge in Linux/Unix shell networking and familiarity with Cloud technologies, Docker, OpenStack, Kubernetes, Databases, Containerized Applications, and Microservices.
- Hands-On Approach: Enthusiasm for hands-on lab work, meticulous attention to detail, and thoroughness.
- Soft Skills: Self-motivation, initiative, a positive, flexible, and creative mindset, as well as strong communication, documentation, collaboration, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years’ experience in network integration, technical support, and Pre-Sales activities.
