Experiencing a brain malfunction during work hours is not something we really enjoy. Once clock hits 2:30 pm, you seriously can’t pull anything off and you literally see your brain morphing into a couch potato. This devilish feeling is known as the “2:30 feeling” can easily be defeated.
Here are some ways you can protect yourself:
Start your day with an exercise
Begin your day with a morning run, cycling or anything of the sort. It doesn’t have to be an intense exercise, just something to boost your energy levels. Most of the people who workout before going to work state that they feel a noticeable improvement in their productivity level throughout the day.
Let the beat drop you off your seat
This is one of my favorite techniques; when things are a little too much to handle, I let the beat take charge. Putting on your favorite playlist will surely take your load off. If you catch yourself kicking in some dance moves every now and then, ease off and let it happen. Just make sure you don’t disturb your colleagues.
Kick-start a chit-chat with a co-worker
Start a conversation with your co-worker! Maybe you can ask them about their plan for the day or even organize a weekend outing for the whole team. Making friendships at the office is something we all need.
Go for a walk
If the 2:30 feeling sneaks up on you, get up and move! Look for a nearby supermarket, coffee shop or even a bakery and get yourself something special. This way you’ll get a nice treat to get you through the day and a kick of energy from walking.
