Proceeds of Zayed Marathon to be Donated to Leprosy Patients in Egypt

The fifth edition of the Zayed Marathon will kick off in the city of Ismailia tomorrow, with 15,000 young runners from various Egyptian governorates participating.

The Marathon is organized under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and its proceeds will be allocated to the leprosy patients of the Misr El Kheir Foundation and the Orman Charity Association.

Minister of Youth and Sports, Ashraf Sobhy stated that the marathon enjoys the full support of Egyptian President Abdul Fatah El-Sisi and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed and reflects the deeply rooted relations between the two countries.

The 10-kilometer race will start at 5.00 a.m. Friday morning, with its accompanying activities and proceedings to kick off at 7.00 a.m.
