META celebrates the holy month of Ramadan by launching different initiatives/series to bring the community closer to one another and do good together.
Meta’s initiatives in Egypt this Ramadan are pretty interesting, creative, and fruitful. Meta paves the way for everyone to do good and help others.
What To Eat
What To Eat Community, in partnership with I-VOLUNTEER, aim to keep those in need covered during the month of Ramadan. In this light, the community is dedicated to packing 2000 Ramadan boxes with the help of many volunteers!
The Confessions of a married woman
Mothers and housewives all have their little secrets. But for the month of Ramadan, Zeinab Al Ashry (head of the group) decided to share “secrets from the kitchen”. Al Ashry organized a cooking competition, in which women prepare heart-filling meals with a nice twist and creativity, post them, and win a special prize!
CanSurvie
Nour Aly, the administrator of Cansurvie, is bringing her community closer together by transforming the virtual meet into a physical event and hosting an Iftar for community members on the ground.
Egyptian Single Mothers
Because empowered women empower women, this community of single mothers looks out for one another. This month, they conducted charity work to help the less fortunate receive the food supply they need.
Their “Fawanis Campaign” is particularly special. This campaign connects mothers who cannot afford to buy Ramadan lanterns for their kids, with other moms who can gift them the lanterns, as a way of connecting women from different socio-classes together and encouraging empathy between them.
I Make This Good Cause
This campaign was designed to urge women who have founded charities or non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that focus on development or charitable work to use the hashtag to raise awareness and educate group members on how they may help.
Traveler Experience
Traveler Experience is organizing four Iftars and Sohours for people in need in Cairo and Giza throughout the month.
People’s Needs
During the holy month of Ramadan in 2020, a group of relatives and friends gathered together to deliver meals to those in need. They then decided to form an organization to help the less fortunate throughout the year by giving a variety of services, including medicine, food, and other necessities. During Ramadan, people of the community are preparing to distribute 2000 meals per day to those in need.
