For the 5th year running, Creative Industry Summit was launched today for a two-day program that sees the world’s most prominent minds share invaluable insights into the latest trends in the creative field from the 26th to the 27th of March, at the Four Seasons Nile Plaza.
It was announced today that the next edition of the summit will be held in September in Lebanon, as the summit will be held as usual twice per year, once in Lebanon annually.
Mai Salama, Co-Founder of the Creative Industry Summit, stated, “Starting this year the two editions of the summit will be held in Cairo and in Lebanon. This comes within the framework of our desire to share experiences in the creative field among the Arab countries. In Lebanon, it will be a full marketing communications, advertising and media edition where we will be bringing Egyptian and foreign experts to share their insights. It is a homegrown brand and product and we are very pleased to take it to Lebanon and share the Egyptian born creativity abroad with the rest of the Arab world. We are very proud to be expanding our brand and we are looking forward to the upcoming edition.”
The summit is taking place over three parallel tracks throughout the two days of the conference, so that the attendees have the opportunity to know what suits their interests and meet their creative ambitions. The first day includes the Advertising, Media & Marketing as well as the E-commerce & technology tracks, while the second day includes the second part of the advertising, Media & Marketing tack as well as the Food Innovation Track.
Opening the 2019 Creative Industry Summit, Former NBA Champion and Hollywood Star from Ethos Media, John Salley gave a Keynote presentation on “Global Creativity, Innovation, and Entertainment”.
The Advertising, Media & Marketing track was packed with a big number of speakers, among them are: Author and Reporter at Huffington Post, Chaker Khazaal; author of “Young China”, Zak Daychwald; Regional Head of Creative Shop at Facebook & Instagram MENA, Weera Saad; Business Development Manager of Uber MENA, Nour Ahmadein; CEO of I-Events, Amr Mansi; Festival Director of the Cairo International Film Festival, Mohamed Hefzy; Yasmine Shihata, Founder & CEO of Supreme Publications Ltd. and Venus Media & PR; and the Commercial Director of P&G Egypt, Heba Saleh.
While some of the speakers at the E-commerce & Technology track are: Verizon Media’s RYOT’s Creative Director, Ricky Baba and Head of R&D, Herve Visira; CEO & Founder of Ethos Media, Navjeet Chhina; Andro Nabil, Marketing Communication & PR Manager at Realme Egypt; Reem Alameddin, Head of Operations at CashU Jordan; Founder & Chairman of Himangel, Dr. Khalid Ismail; and Managing Director of SAP, Hoda Mansour.
The track of food Innovation focuses on exploring the future of the industry in addition to the creative aspects that comprise the basis of a restaurant’s success in the market. Headlining this track is Zooba’s Country Manager, Ahmed Fahmy and Alia El Askalany, Founder & Head Chef at Lulu’s Kitchen.
The 2019 Creative Industry Summit distinguishes itself from previous installments by the unprecedented amount of participants involved and the variety of specializations provided throughout the event.
