Pre-Interview Natural Skin Care Routines

Face blemishes are what nightmares are made of. Pimples, acne scars, blackheads, whiteheads, hyper-pigmentation, you name it! They’re so frustrating, especially when they start showing up before a big event or important job interview. They’re horrible and they’re extremely hard to cover up. If you’re tired of using all the super expensive store products that do nothing but expose you to harsh chemicals, then why not try these natural remedies that have been used for generations.

Here are some of the best ingredients you should try to get rid of pesky face blemishes once and for all.

Cinnamon and Lemon Juice

Combine a one to one ratio of ground cinnamon and lemon juice, mix them well until a paste like texture starts to form, gently apply it on your troubled areas and give it about 30 minutes to do its magic. Rinse with lukewarm water. Try this two times a week until you see results.

Oatmeal and Rose Water

Oatmeal is basically the queen bee of skincare. It can suck those nasty blackheads right out of your skin and reduce signs of pigmentation. Simply drizzle oatmeal with rosewater until you create a thick paste and then spread it all over your face. Let it sit there for 30 minutes. Then rinse.

Turmeric and Mint

To use this method simply mix a teaspoon of turmeric with the double amount of mint juice. Slather it on the areas where your blemishes are showing. Prop your feet up and read a magazine for about 30 minutes, then rinse it off and get on with your day, easy peasy.

Lemon Juice and Yoghurt

To make this ingredient, simply combine yogurt, lemon juice and sugar until you get a good scrub consistency. You’ll then gently massage your face with the mixture. This gentle exfoliation will help shed the dirt and debris that can lead to blemishes, while ingredients in lemon juice and yogurt improve overall health of your skin.

Egg Whites

Separate the egg whites from the yolk, toss the yolk aside because you won’t need it. Use your finger or a cotton swab and gently dab your blemishes with egg whites. Let the egg whites dry then follow up with another layer. Once you have added three layers, wait 20 minutes then rinse.

Baking Soda

For a quick face scrub, create a paste by mixing baking soda with water. Then smear it all over the affected areas and gently massage it for a couple of minutes. Then wash your face with water. Easy, right?

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is known to break down skin buildup and also balance the pH levels in your skin to prevent further blackheads and whiteheads build up. You can use apple cider vinegar on its own and spread it all over the affected areas using a cotton swab, but if you have sensitive skin it would be better to dilute the vinegar first with water before applying.

Oats and Yogurt

For this mixture you will need 1 teaspoon of finely ground oats and 2 teaspoons of yogurt. Mix the ingredients thoroughly for a fine paste, then apply the mixture for 10 minutes. Remove the paste by gentry rubbing for a minute with a slightly damp towel and cold water.

Walnuts and Honey

Grind 2 walnuts into fine powder and then mix 1 tablespoon of honey before scrubbing the paste for a minute. Concentrate on the affected areas and wash off with cool water. Walnuts are rich in vitamin E, C and B-6 which make skin soft, supple, healthy and glowing. Use this scrub twice a week to prevent and control any skin blemishes.
