UN Egypt hosts a Hackathon for Zero Hunger and Gender Equality

UN Egypt’s Hackathon towards zero hunger and gender equality will take place at Sheraton Cairo Hotel from April 18th to 20th. Hunger and gender inequality are outlined by the United Nations as two Sustainable Development Goals. UN Egypt are looking for young minds who are capable of developing an application, website or product to help Egypt become a better place by 2030.

A Hackathon is an event or competition designed for computer programmers or anyone involved with graphic designing, project managing, or interface designing. The Hackathon’s winning team will get 500,000 EGP granted by PepsiCo. PepsiCo has been contributing to Egypt’s 2030 vision for more than 10 years by working with the United Nations Food Program. Rise Up and the Ministry of Social Solidarity also joined in on the Hackathon.
