YLE Kicks Off The Second Phase Of its #BeatPlasticPollution Initiative

In order to curb the use of plastic bags along Egyptian Coastal areas, The Youth Loves Egypt (YLE) has embarked on the second phase of its #BeatPlasticPollution initiative, going in line with sustainable development and Egypt’s environmental 2030 vision.

The initiative’s journey began on the 13th of April 2019 and is expected to last till April 12th, 2021. Hand in hand with 21 North African foundations, the initiative will organize awareness campaigns and workshops in schools and universities, to embed the notion of fighting plastic wastes in future generations.

The highlight of this second phase is gradually diminishing plastic wastes’ threat to the environment, by extending the scope of the initiative from Aswan to the Mediterranean, the Red Sea, the Gulf of Suez, South Sinai and Alexandria.
