You can now book your Pink Circle ticket

Basically, the pink circle is an all-girls-zone! So, if you’re a female going to the concert, you can now book your regular or fan pit pink circle ticket and enjoy the concert away from the rest of the crowd!

Sounds great, right? Girls get to enjoy their time without keeping an eye out all the time, afraid of what might happen at the concert!

We mean, how can one enjoy their time when fear is all they feel…?!

With great misfortune, Marwan Pablo X Shabjdeed’s concert last year in October was met with grand public outrage over safety hazards, lack of security, and proper organization, as well as several sexual assault cases! It was a disaster; the organizers, the artists, and the audiences were all blamed for the incident.

The Pink Circle

Luckily this time, Pablo made sure to learn from past mistakes and reassure everyone that it is not to happen again. That his concert is for people to enjoy their time, feel comfortable, and sing their lungs out with their favorite artist. It was announced that this time, girls will have the chance to book their tickets in this pink circle, which will be separated from the rest of the crowd to avoid any cases of assault, fear, or lack of security.

Ok, this sounds good. What’s the problem then?

Well, some have perceived this as a positive change. There are security measures, voices are being heard, and girls get to enjoy their time without being scared.

On the other hand, some expressed sincere sorrow: Is this really the solution?

Is separating females from males the ONLY way to protect them?!

Is sexual assault inevitable, except through putting LITERAL boundaries?

Okay… What happens after the concert then? When the girls are out of the Pink Circle?

It is of course important to acknowledge the efforts exerted by Pablo and his team to enforce maximum possible safety measures and avoid the recurrence of last year’s disaster.
We would all definitely hate to witness anything like that again!
But… we’d love to know what you think.
