This year, the Startups Without Borders Summit is coming to Egypt for the first time on the 8th and 9th of November at the AUC Tahrir Campus with some of its activities taking place in Downtown’s Startup Haus. It will introduce the enablement and integration of refugees and migrants into the country’s startup ecosystem for the first time. 1. Amy Mowafi
Amy Mowafi, the Cofounder and CEO of MO4
If you’ve encountered the work of the online publications El Fasla, Cairo Scene, Cairo Zoom, Startup Scene, Scene Eats, or Scene Arabia, then you’ve witnessed only a segment of the work that Amy Mowafi (who is also an author) has been doing as the CEO and Cofounder of one of the leading digital agencies in Egypt – MO4.

3. Omar Samra
Omar Samra, the Adventurer and Entrepreneur behind Wild Guanabana
The adventurer and entrepreneur who founded Wild Guanabana, Omar Samra, has recently partnered up with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) on the movie ‘Beyond the Raging Sea’. The movie’s main intent was to shed a unique light on the struggles of asylum seekers and refugees who are forced to cross the sea to survive. This was done through documenting Samra’s journey rowing across the ocean alongside Omar Nour – a fellow entrepreneur himself. Both of them will be speaking at the summit!
4. Omar Nour
Omar Nour, an Entrepreneur and a retired Pro Triathlete
The retired Pro Triathlete and entrepreneur, Omar Nour, has an impressive story of transformation from studying medicine, to starting his own company, to becoming a Pro Triathlete, despite not having any serious previous background in sports, and then to risking his life and rowing across the ocean with Samra to help us feel the pain that countless refugees have faced to save their lives. 5. Charles Radiguet
Charles Radiguet, Sales Program Manager at Facebook
A Sales Program Manager at Facebook, Charles Radiguet dedicates his time to expose the opportunities for using mobile to small and medium businesses. In addition, Radiguet helps optimize Facebook’s advertising solutions through developing and managing programs for Facebook and Instagram advertisers across Africa and Europe.
