Yesterday, Sunday, President El-Sisi met with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Minister of Communications Amr Talaat to discuss the latest developments in national megaprojects to attract investments in the telecommunications sector.
In this regard, the Egyptian president permitted businesses to register on a government platform that will be launched soon to remove all barriers for startups and entrepreneurs.
He added that virtual companies must be allowed to operate without having a physical headquarter to save expenses and accommodate all company sizes.
The president also advocated for the expansion of technology zones for free investment, tax breaks for start-ups, and the activation of white lists for specialised companies to import electronic components.
Furthermore, the president directed the expansion of the communications ministry’s ‘Digital Egypt Builders Initiative,’ which targets graduates of engineering and computer science faculties, as well as the start of an initiative to train schoolers in communications and information technology sciences.
So do you think how this would affect the future of startups and technology around Egypt?
