Cannes Lions Egypt Office Proudly Announces Ali Ali as the First Egyptian Jury President

The Cannes Lions Egypt Office is thrilled to announce that—for the first time—the global Film Director and Co-Founder of Good People Films, Ali Ali, will represent Egypt as the Film Craft Lions Jury President at the 72nd Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

This landmark appointment not only highlights Ali Ali’s exceptional contributions to the world of commercial filmmaking but also marks a significant milestone for Egypt in the global creative industry.

As Jury President, Ali Ali will lead the evaluation of the most outstanding film craft work worldwide, bringing his visionary expertise and Egypt’s creative voice to the forefront of this prestigious category.

Cannes Lions 2025 will feature a dynamic roster of global creative leaders serving as Jury Presidents across various categories. Alongside Ali Ali, the festival is introducing several updates, including the renaming of the Social & Influencer Lions to Social & Creator Lions to better reflect the influence of creators in the marketing world, and an expanded scope for Glass: The Lion for Change, which will now champion equity for a broader range of communities.
