Empowering Youth Through Art: Art D’Égypte by CulturVator and Uppingham Cairo Celebrate Over 50 Art Guides Under UNESCO Patronage

Cairo, Egypt – June 14, 2025
Art D’Égypte by Culturvator held a special ceremony on Saturday, June 14th, to honor the 2024 participants of the Art Guides initiative; an impactful cultural program that empowers youth through arts education and active participation in Egypt’s leading exhibitions. Held under the patronage of UNESCO . The event celebrated the dedication of over 50 student volunteers who served as Art Guides during the fourth edition of Forever is Now at the Pyramids of Giza and the Cairo International Art District (CIAD) in Downtown Cairo in partnership with Uppingham Cairo in New Giza.

The Art Guides initiative, one of Art D’Égypte’s flagship Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs, aims to engage and educate young people by immersing them in the world of art, culture, and heritage. Through guided tours, training sessions, workshops, and real-time interaction with artists and curators, students become cultural ambassadors; promoting dialogue and community engagement in the arts.

Art Guides play a vital role in bridging the gap between the artwork and the public. By leading tours and engaging with both local and international visitors, they help audiences understand the concepts behind the exhibitions and the stories behind each piece. Their work enhances the overall visitor experience and makes the exhibitions more accessible and meaningful to a diverse audience.

The program nurtures communication skills, confidence, and critical thinking, while fostering a strong appreciation for Egypt’s cultural legacy. Aligned with UNESCO’s mission to empower youth and safeguard cultural heritage, the Art Guides initiative plays a pivotal role in connecting younger generations to the global creative economy. This year’s ceremony honored their exceptional contribution to making large-scale cultural events more inclusive, educational, and impactful for the public.

“This program is a cornerstone of our vision at Art D’Égypte by CulturVator,” said Nadine Abdel Ghaffar, Founder of Art D’Égypte. “We believe in empowering youth through culture and offering them the tools to become active agents of change in their communities. Through the Art Guides initiative, we create a sustainable model for cultural education that echoes UNESCO’s values of inclusivity, participation, and heritage preservation.”

Uppingham Cairo played a key role in co-hosting the event, which included an awards ceremony, student testimonials, and a presentation on the broader mission of Art D’Égypte’s educational outreach.
