The Sacred Scent of Desire – The Launch of Fragrance Line by Karim Mekhtigian

A creation by Karim Mekhtigian by Analogue Olfactory

Before desire had a name, it had a fragrance.

In Ancient Egypt, perfume was a ritual, a bridge between body and divinity, the unseen offering that carried prayers to the heavens. Each drop whispered devotion; each breath, a communion with the gods. Then came Rome, where devotion became desire. The

sacred turned sensual, and fragrance began to speak the language of temptation. It adorned the skin of emperors and courtesans alike, a silent invitation, a fragrant sin. To inhale was to surrender; to wear was to wield power.

And now, centuries later, Karim Mekhtigian resurrects that fragrance as an art form, reimagining scent not as adornment, but as alchemy.

SIN, his first fragrance under Analogue Olfactory, is an ode to contradiction; to what is sacred and what is forbidden.

It is a scent that does not ask for permission. It tempts, teases, and transcends.

The fragrance opens with fig, pineapple, chili berries, and pink pepper, a rich

awakening, where sweetness meets fire. The heart unfolds with black pepper, elemi,

cloves, and lily of the valley, an intoxicating dance between warmth and purity. Beneath it all, solar accord, vanilla cream, and patchouli linger; the memory of touch, the afterglow of something once divine. Each note is a story, each layer, a confession.

Together, they create a floriental harmony, both carnal and celestial, echoing the eternal tension between sin and sanctity.

Encased in a sleek black bottle, SIN stands as an object of reverence and rebellion. Its design mirrors Karim’s world, where art, memory, and emotion converge.

For Karim, design has always been the art of feeling made visible. His work: from the tactile serenity of Alchemy Cairo to the poetic geometry of Dessilk Paris, Kyme, and beyond, reveals a single truth: creation is a sensory language. It moves, breathes, and

remembers. With Analogue, Karim extends this philosophy beyond sight and touch, into the unseen realm of scent. A world where memories become matter, and the intangible finds form.

Launching November 22nd at a private event at Tamara Haus, Analogue Olfactory invites you to inhale history, and exhale temptation. This is the first launch of Analogue’s Olfactory’s fragrance, with more expected soon. The event will unveil Cairo Confession Corner; an immersive experience for invitees to get a feel for SIN’s philosophy and get the chance to release their sins.

SIN is not just a fragrance. It is a return.

To the pulse beneath the skin.

To the rituals that once defined beauty.

To the belief that what is forbidden is often the most human of all. Because desire never dies. It lingers, like perfume on the skin.
