The daughter of late renowned Nobel laureate Naguib Mahfouz has struck a deal with Al Saqi Books to produce a brand new collection of 50 short stories, 18 of which were never published before.
The publishing house stated that “with Mahfouz’s often ironic, always insightful observation of the human character, this priceless discovery is wonderful news for fans of one of the world’s best-loved novelists.”
The collection will be published in Arabic on the 11th of December of this year. These handwritten stories were accompanied by a note written from the literary genius that read “for publishing 1994.”
