The first of its kind scouting project dedicated to the emerging Egyptian designers— The “Cairo Fashion Experience” finalists are finally announced!
“Cairo Fashion Experience” the scouting initiative by Cairo Festival City Mall in collaboration with @VogueItalia gave face and voice to the fascinating Egyptian designers through presenting their designs to the international Fashion Community.
Chosen from hundreds of applications, Amna Elshandaweely, Fatma Mostafa, and Mina Tahir were the three finalists awarded the grand prize of being mentored by Vogue Italia, showcasing their collection during Milan Fashion Week in September 2022, and having a pop-up display at Festival Avenue.
A spotlight on the 3 finalists
Amna’s work was displayed as a representation of Egyptian tradition and local artisans’ skills;
Fatma combined her artistic experience with a passion for embroidery and jewelry to create elegant and one-of-a-kind pieces
Mina delved into her Egyptian roots.

With this initiative, Cairo Festival City Mall empowers the emerging Egyptian designers, by helping them put their best foot forward and present their brands to the international fashion market.
