NVIDIA and RiseUp are continuing their growing, long-term collaboration, with NVIDIA returning to Cairo just 3 months after the first-ever NVIDIA SIGNALS session at the Grand Egyptian Museum in July 2026. On Monday, NVIDIA hosted an AI Ecosystem Reception in Cairo, bringing together a select group of leaders, innovators, and ecosystem voices shaping the next chapter of AI in Egypt.
Hosted with NVIDIA senior leadership including Paolo Guglielmini, Vice President, EMEA, and Marc Domenech, Regional Vice President for the Middle East, Turkey, Africa and South Europe; the evening convened leaders from across industry, the startup and developer community, academia, and the broader technology ecosystem for an exchange on the opportunities ahead for AI in the region.
“Our work with NVIDIA didn’t end with SIGNALS, it was the start of an ongoing collaboration. This reception is the next step in building a real, lasting bridge between Egypt’s AI community and NVIDIA’s global ecosystem,” said Abdelhameed Sharara, Founder and CEO of RiseUp.
The reception builds directly on the foundation laid in July, when NVIDIA SIGNALS put Egyptian AI founders in front of NVIDIA Inception’s Head of Startups & VC, Basil Fateen. The session was co-organized by RiseUp, A15, and BitRoot and was framed at the time as the start of a recurring local chapter. NVIDIA Inception is a free program that supports startups globally, providing community, technical resources, opportunities to connect with investors, and more.
For RiseUp, the reception reinforces its role as the fundamental platform that connects Egypt’s innovators with global technology partners. The continued presence of a global technology leader in Egypt is a strong testament to the confidence it has in the market and the ecosystem being built here. This marks another step in an expanding collaboration between RiseUp and NVIDIA, with further joint initiatives already in motion for the region’s AI ecosystem in the months ahead.
